It speaks volumes about these people, since the disadvantages are great, and the only advantage is that it saves "work hours" and "resources", thus only something that would concern a corporate drone, and not a real human soul.

While there is a lot of arguments regarding the resillience, centralization, simplicity, thus also maintainability, reliability, and a lot of other issues that arise when everybody uses the same software libraries and frameworks to make his own stuff, there is also another argument, which a corporate drone will never understand in a million years, it's basically impossible to comprehend for such a man: <nowiki>'''</nowiki>IT'S LAME<nowiki>'''</nowiki>.

I don't want every game to be written with Unreal Engine/Unity, every in-browser software to be only usable in Chromium/Firefox, every software to only support the big three operating systemns, completely disregarding everything else, everything to be written in the same programming languages, every Linux distro to use Glibc+Systemd+X11/Wayland+GNU Coreutils, and such and such.

Reinventing the wheel isn't even just good for this ecosystem, no, another thing corporate and academic programmers will never get: It's fun to do so.

Just imagine if...programming was...like...I don't know...fun, eh? Maybe instead of studying some game engine, start studying how your graphics card works, and start from there.

It just feels so depressing that nobody sees the fun and necessity of this approach.

Instead of arguing that privacy and anonymity are good for everyone, and everyone should be able to use the Internet in a privacy-preserving manner, they make up some magical heroes, which protect democracy of all things, to justify their existence. They say things like "Tor helps whistleblowers stay anonymous and reveal secrets about abusive governments" and such, however, the problem herewith is that whistleblowers practically don't exist. In proportion to all the marketing that advertises those things as for "whistleblowers", they are such a tiny minority that it is just a plain lie that they make it for them. They try to uphold this lie, however, because it makes them look better, and makes them seem like they do something very noble. To be fair, most of this "whistleblower" LARP is done by third-parties, who promote those projects on their own, but those projects certainly play a role in this marketing being done the way it is. They should just be honest and say they make those softwares for the common man, the average Joe, and not some magical democracy-saving heroes, of which basically none exist in comparison to all the other users.

This might seem obvious to some, but for me it's a major source of frustration with people when talking about work or jobs, that they think the way work culture developed after the war somehow is indicative of how it always was and always will be, and everyone, who thinks that the status quo as of now is sick and rotten, merely wasn't working enough to truly understand why this culture of work is tolerable, or even good.

Most of the time humans have been around, they have not "worked" some retarded "job", because 99.99% the time hominids have been around, it was all hunting and gathering, which, also, was not only more natural and fulfilling, but also took a lot less time than working some office job. Most jobs these days are there so the people don't accidentally enjoy their life for once and do something actually fulfilling. The Neolithic Revolution famously introduced many health problems, which modern society, no matter how hard it tries, can't get rid of, or even not exaggerate them to such an extreme that is also comedic.

Even before the war, most people just were farmers, and suffered from that too, but not to the degree they do from modern job culture. This "Job culture" is just a sly, collective way of calling everyone who doesn't work a parasite. This is what the working population truly thinks about you, when you refuse to work. "Job culture" is Stockholm Syndrome by the "working population" to feel better about themselves, when they're slaves like everybody else. So, anyway, herein I document my impressions of cute 2d girls. Don't expect anything worthwhile, because all this is is just me sharing impressions, and since somebody being perceived as "cute" hardly is something you can rationalize, this is kind of retarded from the get-go. This is NOT a review or analysis, and it's obviously the qualitatively worst page on the whole site.

== CLANNAD girls ==
So far I've played Nagisa's, Mei's, and Ryou's route and figured so far I enjoyed Ryou the most. She is really shy and timid, and the whole route consists of her sister pushing her to be the gf of the protagonist (which turns out to be deeper than originally thought, since her sister does it out of some psychological complex or whatever). The later part of the story where the protagonist tried to kiss her sister and was almost unfaithful to her was nearly unbearable, since it was stretched for so long. Every time you met up with her, she was pretending to be really happy and optimistic, and YOU thought it was actually how she was, and thus it was heartbreaking, since you know you did something wrong, and she just kept on being happy. I guess it's a Nakige after all and the purpose is to make you cry, so it's not like I wasn't aware that it was going to be sad, yet it was still heartbreaking to read. The gimmick of her being a fortune teller was cute too. Before I never thought too much about that, however now it seems like it fits her personality well, and deepens it thus. For a moment I thought the bandaids on her arms where due to cutting scars, and it seemed a reasonable assumption, since she was hiding pain that she couldn't show anyone, and all that, but in retrospect it might as well be just from the cooking. In particular because they were on her hands and not her arms.

So yeah, Ryou for the win. Perhaps Fuuko is also cool, because she was my favorite character in the anime, which I watched a year prior. We'll see.

Solitaire is a card game played with a 52-card French card deck without jokers, usually with smaller-sized cards to save space on the table. It is to be played by one player, however, it is possible to play it together with somebody else, wherein both players work together. There are dozens of variants with the most popular being Klondike, which got, as far as I know, email me if I'm wrong, popularized by Windows including Klondike as the default variant in its Solitaire game. Some other popular variants include FreeCell and Spider Solitaire.

=== How to play ===
The Klondike variant has as a goal to sort all cards in the respective 4 stacks for each kind of card. The stacks start with Aces, which have to be the first card, following the numbers up to 10 and then going up to the jack, the king, and the queen.

Besides the 4 stacks for each suit there is additionally a card stack with mixed cards with the back side up, wherefrom the player gets his cards.

To begin the game mix all cards, make 7 rows ascending in number of cards to the right (1st row -> 1 card, 2nd row -> 2 cards, ..., 7th row -> 7 cards) while putting the cards on their back. Pick the last card of each row and put it with the front facing the player, such that always the last card in each row is open, whilst the other ones are hidden. Moreover, to start the game, look through the cards whether there is a card that you can add to another stack such that the card above it has the opposite color (either black or red) AND the card added, so the card below, is one value lower than the other (Ace -> King -> Queen -> Jack -> 10 - > 9 -> 8 -> 7 -> 6 -> 5 -> 4 -> 3 -> 2). Beware that when moving cards to another stack you can move multiple at once as long as they git (which also makes sense, since you would be able to move them after each other either way). The objective now is to sort those piles while keeping an eye on the 4 stacks, and putting each fitting card on one of the stacks, so that they are ascending in value starting with the Ace and ending with the King (Ace -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> ... -> 10 -> Jack -> Queen -> King). At the point where all cards from the piles are on the stacks, you won. Beware that not every game can be won and you will encounter frustrating games, which are impossible to win.

=== Where to play ===
The best option is to get those 52 cards big French card sets with the smaller cards in particular (often labeled as for playing Solitaire/Patience), which don't require as much space on the table. Alternatively, if you cannot afford them (they are like 15 euros), or you are addicted to your screen, you can download [https://pysolfc.sourceforge.io/ PySolFC], which is a free software game with every imaginable variant and even more card decks and customization options to choose from (and even some music and other cool stuff).

== Rummy ==
Rummy is a card game for at least 2 players that is played with 2 French card sets (110 cards, counting jokers). The objective is to get rid off all your cards on your hand by making rows of cards on the table, either your own or adding to the other players' rows of cards.

=== How to play ===
(Obviously, a lot of here is preference, as other people might have a different set of rules.) First you mix all cards giving each player 12 cards, except for one player, who gets 13 cards. The remaining cards are left with their backside facing up on the table. The player with the additional card is the first one to play. The game goes clockwise and each player has to take one card per round, and throw one away to the dedicated throw-away pile, which is facing up, so everyone can see it. To begin playing, the player has to put a row of cards on the table, of which all the cards in the row have a combined value of 30 (or 40 if you prefer it more difficult). A row consists either of cards in ascending/descending order (in terms of the cards' value), or cards of the same value but different suit. In regards to the rows of the same value, the same suit can only appear once, as such they are maximally 4 cards long. The rows of ascending/descending value have to be only ascendent/descendent by one, not more. Once you got your own row valued 30 (or 40), you can add your own cards to the rows of the other players, wherein the same rules apply as if it were your own. If aren't playing currently, but want a card put on the throw-away pile (because the throw-away pile is facing up, and is visible to everyone, unlike the other pile), you can knock on the table to interrupt the game, and get that card, otherwise you can get your cards from the pile with the hidden cards.

You can place multiple cards at once on the table.

The most important aspect of the game is that you can disband a row to create new rows, even the ones of the other players. For instance if somebody has a row as follows: - 8, 9, 10, Joker, Queen while your own row is - Jack, Queen, King, Ace You can remove the joker of the other player from their row, and place it in your own, such that it results in: - other player: 8, 9, 10, '''Jack''', Queen - you: '''Joker''', Queen, King Ace You can take as many of them as you want, as long as no card remains misplaced (as in placed at a place where it doesn't belong, or remains as a singular card) at the end of your round

You win the game as soon as you get rid off all your cards by having lied them down somewhere on the table, either in your rows, or in the othe ones.

* completely offline, without DRM, without online requirement, no addictive elements, no incentive to login at a particular time, completely public domain/non-copyrighted software and assets, no restrictions on what you can do with the game, self-hostable
* multiple ages to go through, with a research tree that requires weeks to go through one age
* fighting system with isometric map, different units that each have an optimal enemy for each for defensive and offense, different o/d values for other enemies, each unit type is the same in each "age"
* written in C++17 or newer and Raylib/OpenGL, very portable, has to run on Windows, Linux, OpenBSD/NetBSD/FreeBSD, minimal depedencies
* local Sqlite database for game data, can be opened and read by humans, can be modified by the user easily
* hacking, modding, and additional texture encouraged, no artificial limitations
* no multiplayer, this would be too difficult, and would suck, since you would need to rely on the server for months and years (ideally), so that is bad
* be playable with custom frontends (server + frontend structure), possible to change values with the command line, graphical main game
