Goebkli Tepe
The Goebkli Tepe is a hill in Anatiolia, Turkey, where remains of what seems to be the oldest monuments of mankind were found. Said monuments date back to 10.000 BC, originating from the Neolithic age (Pre-Pottery Neolithic A). Geographically the hill is located in the north of Mesopotamia; this is important because the humans who lived there were among the first to be actually settle and not live as hunters and gatherers. Besides them having used tools and having built houses, the erosion of the hill indicates heavy agricultural use of the place.
